Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to get it deleted.

What We Collect
To make Hasya work, we only collect what we need:
- Your name and phone number.
- Your email address, which you verify and use to sign in.
- The city you choose, so we can show you activities near you.
- A profile photo/selfie, if you add one during sign-up.
- The answers you give during sign-up about the activities you're interested in.
- Your bookings, attendance, and activity preferences.
- Messages and reactions you post in activity and League chats, and any messages or members you report or block.
- Payment references and booking amounts from our payment processor.
- A push notification token for your phone (Android and iPhone), if you allow notifications.
- On Android, diagnostics about errors and app performance — device model, OS version, app version, what went wrong, and how the app performed.
We never store your full card or bank details.
How We Use It
We use your information to:
- create and secure your account, including sending sign-in codes by SMS and email,
- register you for activities,
- manage seats and payments,
- issue refunds when needed,
- show you activities in your city and personalize your experience,
- run activity and League chats and keep them safe,
- send updates or support when required.
We look at the games you've booked and attended (sport, area, day and time) to work out which new games are likely to suit you, so we only notify you about ones that fit. This stays inside Hasya. We don't sell it or use it for ads, and it's deleted with your account.
Selfie & Profile Photo
When you sign up, we ask for a selfie/profile photo so we know a real person is behind the account and other members can recognize you at activities.
- We do not use it for facial recognition against outside databases.
- It's stored securely and shown as your profile photo within Hasya.
- It's removed when you delete your account (see Delete Your Hasya Account below).
Activity Chat, Reports & Blocks
Each activity has a chat for the people taking part. Leagues also have chats for their players: one for the whole League, one for your team, and one for captains.
- Your messages and reactions are visible to the other people in that chat.
- You can report a message. The report sends us a copy of the message, who wrote it, and who reported it, so we can review it and remove content that breaks our Terms.
- You can report a member (for example their name or photo) from the participants list.
- You can block a member. You won't see their messages, and your block list is kept private.
- If we ban an account, it can no longer read or post in any chat, including chats it had already joined.
Our Assistant
Activity chats include Hasya's built-in assistant. Messages posted in activity chats are processed automatically on Hasya's own servers so the assistant can respond to requests and run activity features. We do not send your chat messages to outside AI companies.
Push Notifications
The Android and iPhone apps register a device token with a push notification service so we can send you booking confirmations, reminders, and activity updates.
- On Android, new chat message notifications show the sender's name and a short preview of the message. On iPhone, notifications only say that you have an update in Hasya.
- In the app, under Profile → Notifications, you can turn off alerts for new game polls and new games.
- Notifications about games you've joined (cancellations, refunds, replacements and payment problems) are always sent while notifications are allowed on your device.
- You can turn notifications off anytime in your device settings.
- The token identifies your device for delivery — it isn't used to track you elsewhere.
App Diagnostics & Crash Reports
If the Android app or our servers hit an error, we automatically collect diagnostics (device model, OS/app version, and the error itself) through an error-reporting service so we can fix the problem. The Android app also sends performance data for a sample of sessions, such as how long screens take to load and whether the app stayed stable. Android diagnostics are tagged with your Hasya account ID (not your name, email or phone number) so we can look into a problem you report. This data is used only to fix bugs and keep the app reliable, not for advertising or to build a profile of you. The iPhone app does not send diagnostics.
Consent
By using Hasya, you agree to this use of your information. If we ever need explicit permission, we'll ask for it clearly.
Sharing With Third Parties
We only share what's necessary with trusted service providers so Hasya can work:
- Payment processor — handles payments and refunds; they see your card or bank details, not us.
- SMS and email delivery services — send sign-in codes and account messages to your phone number and email address.
- Hosting and storage providers — run and protect our website and app servers, and store profile photos.
- Push notification service — delivers notifications on Android and iPhone using your device token.
- Error-reporting service — receives crash/diagnostic data so we can fix bugs.
- Messaging platforms — carry messages if you choose to join a Hasya group chat or message us on a messaging app.
These partners may only use your information to provide their service to us, and they are expected to protect it at least as well as this policy does.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for advertising.
Data Retention
We keep your information only for as long as needed to run the service, meet legal requirements, and handle disputes. In particular:
- Bookings and payments — kept for as long as tax, accounting, and other laws require.
- Safety reports and bans — kept as long as needed to keep members safe and to handle disputes or legal requests.
- Backups — our database backups are deleted automatically after 14 days, so deleted information can remain in a backup for up to 14 days.
Your Choices
You can ask us to view, correct, or delete your data (as long as the law allows it). You can opt out of non-essential messages anytime.
Delete Your Hasya Account
You can delete your account in the Hasya app under Profile → Delete Account. If you no longer have access to the app, email contact@hasya.world from the email associated with your Hasya account and request account deletion.
When you delete your account, we immediately remove:
- your name, phone number, email address, city, and profile photo,
- your activity and League chat messages and reactions,
- the members you blocked and the members who blocked you,
- your game preferences (patterns we work out from your bookings),
- your sign-in sessions, notification settings, and device tokens.
Some records are kept because the law or member safety requires it:
- booking and payment records (including the phone number used for the booking), for tax, accounting, and refund purposes — your name is removed from activity rosters and shown as "Guest";
- copies of your messages that other members reported, and any ban records, for safety and legal purposes;
- support tickets you raised, to handle disputes;
- database backups, for up to 14 days.
Age
Hasya is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is perfect. Keep your login safe and let us know if you spot anything suspicious.
